Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Staff member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling food orders, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and hospitality within a dynamic setting.

Duties

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently at the counter Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with basic maths skills Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times Provide friendly and professional service to all customers Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service Support team members in maintaining a smooth operation throughout shifts

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is desirable, but not essential Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is advantageous Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Prior experience in serving or culinary roles is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
