Key Focus of the Role


To work closely with, and under the direction of, the Birmingham Front of House Manager in a busy Hub office. This role supports a primary location for Divisional and Client Events and provides national switchboard cover alongside two full-time switchboard operators, as well as carrying out a range of office administration duties to support the smooth and efficient running of the office.
Main Responsibilities


Provide a warm, personable, and professional welcome to colleagues and clients entering the office Work with the Front of House Manager to ensure the delivery of a professional, efficient meetings and events service within the Birmingham office Assist with managing meeting room bookings, noting requirements, including preparing rooms (which may involve moving furniture) and organising refreshments Maintain tidy and presentable meeting rooms, reception, and hub areas, ensuring adequate kitchen supplies for staff and visitors Provide general administrative support to the Front of House Manager and Office Manager, as well as ad hoc administrative assistance to Birmingham office teams during busy periods Work alongside two full-time switchboard operators to assist with answering calls to the national switchboard using a Mitel terminal, including accurately answering, transferring calls, and taking messages as required Act as a First Aider / Nominated Person Act as a Fire Warden
Key Qualities, Qualifications and Experience


A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills Adaptable, hands-on, and demonstrates a proactive, can-do attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Word and Excel Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail Ability to work methodically and accurately Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Flexible and able to effectively prioritise a changing workload
