Front-End Developer

who is comfortable working across the stack, with particular experience integrating with cloud-native services--especially AWS.

This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be UK citizens and permanently based in Northern Ireland.

The Role

As our Front-End Developer, you'll lead development of the user-facing application. You'll collaborate closely with our backend and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, real-time features--from live maps and dashboards to secure document handling. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys shipping polished, production-grade applications that solve real-world problems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain our React-based Progressive Web App (PWA) Implement real-time data features using WebSockets and REST APIs Build data visualisations with Recharts and Chart.js Integrate secure, browser-based document viewing Ensure a responsive, accessible, and mobile-friendly user experience Work with backend engineers on AWS integration and architecture Apply usability best practices and user-centred design principles Contribute to planning, code reviews, and release cycles

What We're Looking For

5+ years of front-end development experience Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, and building PWAs Experience working with cloud-native backends, ideally AWS Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards Familiarity with real-time updates and data visualisation Experience collaborating in cross-functional product teams Git/GitHub workflows and CI/CD experience
Bonus Skills

Backend experience (Node.js, FastAPI, or similar) In-depth knowledge of secure document storage and access patterns Interest in blockchain or distributed ledger tech Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK)
