An exciting opportunity has arisen at Care Control Systems to join our DevOps team as a Front-End Developer on a temporary contract.
Care Control is a fast-growing business specialising in the design, development, and delivery of the BEST Care Digital Software on the market. Since our founding in 2016, we've gone from strength to strength, and the year ahead is full of major development initiatives
We're a friendly and passionate team based in the beautiful town of Tavistock, Devon, working from a relaxed and informal office space. With several key projects underway, we are now looking to expand our front-end development capability with a mid-level Front-End Developer to support the delivery of feature-rich user interfaces.
About the Role
As a Front-End Developer, you will work closely with in-house software developers, graphic designers, and QA testers to deliver polished and intuitive system modules for our customer facing platforms. You'll contribute throughout the development lifecycle - from design feasibility and prototyping through to implementation, testing, and deployment.
This is a hands-on development role ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact during a defined contract period. You'll be working on exciting projects from the moment you join and collaborating with a cross-functional team to ensure the best possible experience for our users.
What You'll Do
Collaborate across disciplines to take ideas from concept through to deployment
Support the design and implementation of user interfaces with a strong attention to detail
Provide feedback on design feasibility and participate in early ideation sessions
Keep usability and customer experience at the forefront of your work
Adapt quickly to shifting project needs while maintaining code quality.
You'll be responsible for delivering web experiences that look and perform superbly across all platforms.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a Front-End Developer with a minimum 2 years of commercial experience, ideally in a product-led or fast-paced environment.
You'll need
:
Proven experience with React, including component-based architecture and hooks.
A strong understanding of HTML5, CSS and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
A user-centric approach to front-end development, prioritising accessibility and responsiveness.
Familiarity with GIT and standard development workflows
Strong communication and collaboration skills across design and development teams
The ability to problem-solve, self-direct, and deliver to deadlines
Experience of working with a live production system, including monitoring for performance and potential security issues, and triaging problems.
Write code that is optimised, tested and accessible.
Working knowledge of Figma functions to be able to convert a web design into real HTML, CSS and JS.
Ability to consume backend services (OpenAPI)
Experience documenting workflow through JIRA and Confluence.
Experience in DevOps-style workflows or Agile environments
Adaptability to adjust quickly to changing priorities & conditions. Comfortable in uncharted waters. We aren't afraid to try new things whilst remembering we are focused on solving real world problems for our customers.
Preferred technical skills:
User-Interface development experience in React, including component-based architecture and hooks, TypeScript.
API development experience in .NET API
Experience in Application based development with React Native - an advantage
Experience working in the Agile methodology

: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 09:00 to 17:00 (30-minute lunch break
Base Salary:
35,000 - 45,000 p.a.

Qualifications
Minimum: 5 GCSE Grade A-C/9-4 including English and Maths Preferable: A-levels
Computer related bachelor's or master's degree.
Preferable 2-5 years' experience in a similar role (accepting placement experience also).
