We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring that their experience is enjoyable from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly disposition, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel valued and attended to.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, coordinating with the kitchen and waiting staff.
Provide information about menu items, specials, and events to enhance the guest experience.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including waiting areas and reception desks.
Assist in managing cash handling processes, including taking payments accurately.
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations throughout service times.
Requirements
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not essential.
Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
Knowledge of food safety regulations is an advantage but can be provided through training.
