About the role



Great opportunity for a Front of House Assistant to join the Events team at the Royal Academy of Dance

We are looking to recruit Front of House Assistants on a casual basis to support the Events team in delivering high quality events in a safe manner at the Royal Academy of Dance.

Front of House Assistants will report to the Duty Manager who have overall responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of staff and visitors to the venue.

Front of House Assistants will be expected to be good communicators with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to use their own initiative and prioritise tasks. They will need to be able to remain calm under pressure.

Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential. Applicants would ideally have an interest in dance and/or the arts.

Please note that this is casual work offered on an ad hoc basis, and as such, shift patterns may vary with no guarantee of regular or consistent hours.

We are looking for someone who:



Has experience in a customer facing role Has experience in working front of house and in events entertainment or hospitality Can communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner Has a positive can-do approach Has the ability to stay calm under pressure Can work evenings and weekends
Due to the nature of the RAD's work, the successful candidate will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Applications which do not include a full employment history and reference details will not be taken forward to the shortlisting stage.

The post you are applying for is classed as having a high degree of contact with children and involves 'regulated activity'. As such it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
