Job Summary

We are seeking a Front of House Assistant to join our friendly team at Number 29 Tapas Bar in Richmond, North Yorkshire. Part time position, two or three shift a week, more hours available if required. Full time may be available for the right candidate. Flexible shifts to suit your work-life balance.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a passion for serving local real ales, premium gins, fine wines and homemade tapas.

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, however full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Supervisory and management progression available if desired

Some food knowledge would be advantageous but not essential

Pay Scale 10 - 12.25 per hour depending on age and experience, plus excellent tips

Duties

- Greet customers and provide assistance with their enquiries
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front end area
- Uphold food safety standards at all times
- Handle transactions and operate the cash register

Experience

- Previous experience in bar work, catering, food preparation, hospitality, or restaurant industry is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
