We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our expanding team in Portobello! This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring that all operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a candidate to work around 20-30 hours a week. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Duties
Greet and assist customers as they enter the establishment, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating good knowledge of the menu.
Help with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records using basic maths skills.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and dining spaces.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery.
Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance their dining experience.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not essential.
Strong understanding of food safety practices is highly desirable.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and order processing.
Excellent time-management skills whilst under pressure.
A team player with a positive attitude who enjoys helping others.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to work independantly and as part of a team.
