Duties
Greet guests warmly and present menus in a friendly manner.
Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met.
Provide recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials and promotions.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
Assist in food preparation as needed, demonstrating culinary skills where applicable.
Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance their experience.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and communication.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a hospitality or a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices.
Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
A friendly demeanour and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
A willingness to learn new skills and techniques to enhance service quality.
