About the Team:
The Performance and Medicine Team play a crucial role at Sunderland AFC, where science meets sport to optimise player health and enhance performance!?
Our mission is to create a robust support system that ensures every athlete can perform at their peak while minimising the risk of injury.
We employ a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating sports science, nutrition, and medical expertise to tailor our programs to each player's specific needs.

The Opportunity:
The role involves greeting and assisting visitors, staff, and players with a warm and professional demeanour, while maintaining an environment tailored to the high-performance needs of professional athletes.
Daily responsibilities include liaising with the Performance Head Chef and Head of Nutrition to understand specific requirements and communicating these clearly on internal menu boards.
The individual will handle internal enquiries efficiently, directing them to the Performance Head Chef when necessary. Managing visitors, issuing passes, and ensuring full compliance are also key duties. Exceptional service must be provided to all guests, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
The role includes assisting with administrative tasks as required and coordinating the use of facilities to ensure they are set up and maintained to high standards. Support in the planning and execution of events hosted at the training ground is also expected, ensuring smooth operations throughout.
Maintaining food safety standards and cleanliness is essential, with a Food Safety Level 3 qualification considered desirable.
What We Ask For:
The individual is expected to maintain professional qualifications and engage in appropriate continuing professional development.
Previous experience in a front-of-house, events, reception, or customer service role is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure is important, as is a friendly and approachable personality. A high level of professionalism and attention to detail is essential.
Flexibility is also necessary, with the willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Additionally, the individual will take a key role in coordinating junior front-of-house team members.
An Enhanced DBS from Sunderland AFC is required.
