Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome. Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and serving. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Assist in food preparation as required, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals. Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service flow.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills accurately. Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service delivery. A friendly demeanour with a focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining genuine guest interactions. Experience in kitchen operations or culinary roles is a plus but not mandatory. Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
