Job Description
We're looking for energetic, reliable Front of House staff to join the team at COOP -- our high-volume street food stall returning to the Edinburgh Fringe. You'll be the face of the operation: taking orders, keeping the queue moving, handling payments, and making sure every guest leaves with sauce on their face and a smile.
Whether you're working the lunch crowd, the post-show rush, or a full day of festival madness, you'll be part of a small, solid team serving up fried chicken, smoked lobster rolls, and fast-paced vibes in the middle of George Square.
Duties include:
Greeting and serving customers quickly and confidently Operating a till and taking card payments Upselling sides, drinks, and specials Keeping the service area stocked, clean, and efficient Supporting the kitchen team when needed (packing orders, passing food)
We're looking for people who:
Have great people skills and a sense of humour under pressure Are organised, reliable, and up for long (but fun) shifts Can work fast, think ahead, and keep the energy up even when it's busy Ideally have experience in food service, hospitality, or barista/bar work
Shift Patterns Available:
Day shifts (12pm-6pm)
Evening shifts (5pm-12am)
All-day shifts (12pm-12am)
Thurs-SunWe'll assign fixed shift patterns to keep things consistent once the schedule is set.
About COOP:
COOP is a Fringe pop-up from Michelin-starred chef Tomas Gormley (Cardinal, Skua). It's loud, fast, and fun -- the kind of place where quality food meets festival chaos. Last year we had queues out the door. This year, we're back and hungrier than ever.
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 6 weeks
Pay: 11.44-14.51 per hour
Expected hours: 26 - 38 per week
