Position Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead our service team and ensure exceptional guest experiences across both our dining room and bar areas. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about developing team members while maintaining our high hospitality standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with management to oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and uphold our core values of hospitality-first service, quality, teamwork, respect, and pride.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and motivate a team of bartenders and servers across dining and bar areas
Conduct on-the-job training and mentoring for new team members
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback
Assist with staff scheduling and coordinate break coverage
Support management with performance evaluations and development plans
Service Excellence:
Ensure consistent delivery of our hospitality standards and service procedures
Handle complex customer complaints and service recovery situations
Maintain quality control for food presentation and beverage service
Oversee proper execution of wine service protocols and cocktail standards
Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service and food safety regulations
Operational Management:
Supervise opening and closing procedures for FOH areas
Monitor POS system accuracy and assist with daily reporting
Coordinate between kitchen and front of house during busy periods
Oversee table management and optimize seating flow
Ensure cleanliness and organization standards are maintained throughout service
Guest Relations:
Act as primary point of contact for VIP guests and special occasions
Handle escalated customer service issues with professionalism
Build relationships with regular customers and remember preferences
Support special events including weekly live music nights
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
2+ years supervisory experience in restaurant/hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of both table service and bar operations
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical stamina for fast-paced, standing environment
Strong understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service
Right to work in the UK
Preferred:
Knowledge of wine service and cocktail preparation
POS system experience and basic computer skills
Previous experience training and developing staff
