Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Team Leader to be a part of a major refurbishment and rebranding of a large & popular pub in Kingsthorpe in March/April 2026. Working for an experienced General Manager, this site will be BIG on sport, BIG on family dining, and BIG on entertainment! Whether its a pay weekend, a weekly quiz, or a charity event, we are passionate about being a hub of the local community, and we are looking for engaging, bright, bubbly personalities to enhance our existing team and be a part of our journey. Pre-opening training begins towards the end of March, with a re-opening date just before Easter, and we are looking for talented people who want a fresh challenge within hospitality

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food service standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and uphold the highest levels of food safety and service excellence.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff in either the Sports bar, Family restaurant or large busy garden to deliver outstanding customer service Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to guests Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary, maintaining high standards of quality Train and mentor team members in hospitality best practices, including serving techniques and food safety protocols Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and tact Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area in compliance with health regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front and back of house Take on an area of responsibility within the business, and be open to developing your skills with regular 121's and a personalised development plan

Skills



Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, ideally with supervising or team management responsibilities Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards Previous experience in food production or kitchen settings is advantageous Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour Familiarity with restaurant operations, including reservation systems and point-of-sale technology Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is desirable but not essential

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 10.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
