We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. Previous restaurant or cafe experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers an engaging environment where teamwork, efficiency, and guest satisfaction are paramount.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel welcomed throughout their visit
Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
Provide attentive guest services, addressing any queries or special requests with professionalism
Assist with food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe environment
Support with food preparation tasks as required, adhering to health and safety regulations
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement
Manage cash transactions accurately using the POS system and handle basic maths calculations for bills
Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
Maintain cleanliness of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and seating arrangements
Assist in setting up and clearing tables efficiently during service periods
Skills
Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation practices
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with effective time management capabilities
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential
Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and maximise sales potential
Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends and evenings if required
