We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
Provide excellent guest service, addressing any enquiries or special requests with professionalism
Assist with food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring cleanliness throughout the front of house area
Support with food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining organisation in the service area
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and perform basic maths calculations
Maintain a tidy and organised work environment, including setting up tables and clearing after service
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front of house and kitchen teams
Manage guest feedback positively, striving to exceed expectations at all times
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; a friendly demeanour and willingness to learn are key qualities
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with effective time management abilities to handle busy service periods
Excellent guest service skills with a professional attitude and good communication abilities
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Kitchen experience or culinary background is beneficial but not mandatory
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
