Duties

Welcome guests warmly and ensure they feel comfortable from arrival to departure Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages efficiently Provide excellent guest service by addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations Assist with food preparation tasks as required, adhering to food safety standards Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions responsibly Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols and hygiene standards Ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and delivering personalised service

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Experience in serving or guest services roles is desirable, along with culinary or kitchen experience for those interested in further development Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
