The Griffin is a lively and welcoming pub and restaurant by the sea, known for our fresh seafood, relaxed atmosphere, and warm service. We pride ourselves on offering great hospitality and memorable seaside dining experiences to locals and holidaymakers alike.

The Role:

We're looking for a confident, presentable, and enthusiastic individual (or couple!) to join our front of house team for the busy summer season. You'll be the face of The Griffin, greeting guests, taking orders, and most importantly - reading out our daily fish specials at the table with energy and charm.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming and seating guests with a warm, friendly manner Taking food and drink orders efficiently and accurately Confidently reading out and explaining our daily fish specials Running food and drinks to tables Supporting the team with setting and clearing tables Ensuring a clean, well-presented dining area Providing a positive and memorable customer experience Supporting other front of house duties as needed

About You:

Confident, friendly, and well-presented Comfortable engaging with guests and speaking clearly at the table A team player with a great work ethic Reliable and professional under pressure Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a plus, but not essential - the right attitude matters most!
