We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Fryer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining food safety protocols.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards
Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and quality before serving
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station and surrounding areas
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assist in meal preparation as needed, including chopping and preparing ingredients
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels of cooking supplies and report any shortages
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in a restaurant setting
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods, especially frying
Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
Culinary experience is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy kitchen environment
A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and willingness to learn are essential
