We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Fryer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal food quality and safety.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as required.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Follow proper procedures for storing and handling food products to minimise waste.
Participate in regular training sessions on food safety and culinary techniques.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience is preferred, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
Culinary experience or formal training in a related field is an advantage.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Experience in a restaurant environment is beneficial, particularly in high-volume settings.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
