We are seeking a dedicated Fryer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items using frying techniques, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food.
Responsibilities
Operate deep fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to prepare a variety of fried foods.
Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with meal preparation,seasoning, and assembling food items.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including cleaning fryers and utensils after use.
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
Support the team during busy periods by assisting with food service and other kitchen duties as required.
Adhere strictly to food safety standards, including proper storage of ingredients and waste disposal procedures.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a culinary setting.
Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques, particularly frying methods.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
