Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a keen understanding of kitchen operations. As a Fryer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise in meal preparation will contribute significantly to the overall dining experience we provide to our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook various food items using frying techniques, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards at all times. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as required. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure that all food is cooked thoroughly and safely. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods. Help maintain inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager/supervisor. Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A genuine passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
