The Malloy Aeronautics Team:
Malloy Aeronautics Limited specializes in the development of heavy lift unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) for both civilian and military uses. Located in Berkshire, our operations are notable for their focus on in-house design and manufacturing. This vertical integration means we control the production of most aircraft components on-site, enhancing our ability to innovate and maintain high standards across all stages of development.
About The Role:
We require a skilled technician that can build complex electrical systems including SMT, through hole, cabling and PCB rework. The ideal candidate will have experience, with previous knowledge and experience with electronics, soldering, crimping, SMT, through-hole components and rework.
Ability to hold Security Clearance - 5 years residence in the UK
Please note:
This is not a suitable role for a graduate engineer
with no work experience. This is a very hands-on role, using bench equipment and working with our vehicles, customer hardware, and with other team members - as such, this role is a full-time office-based role.
What you'll being doing (but not limited too):
Assembling and reworking surface mount components including resistors, capacitors, connectors, diodes and ICs.
Assembling and reworking through hole components such as connectors and DC-DC convertors.
Accurate and skilled use of solder stencils, pick 'n' place machines and reflow ovens.
Carry out initial inspections following the various stages of production.
Careful and precise rework of PCB components without damaging existing connections.
Make and install wiring looms.
Test and follow quality assurance procedures.
Able to multitask and work in a high pressure and task-oriented environment.
Essential Skills and Experiences:
Must be able to demonstrate hands on experience in previous roles as a PCB technician or similar.
Knowledge or experience of IPC-610 training.
Experience using an automated inspection machine.
Must be able to solder and understand basic electrical circuitry.
Strong experience in use of soldering stations and heat guns.
Strong focus on quality and customer pride.
