Job Description

Working arrangements:

Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remote. During probation: 4 days in office.

Key Responsibilities --

Feature Development & Maintenance:

Design, build, and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of serverless back-end services on AWS (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3).

Deliver features end-to-end, from implementation through to testing and release.

Support application reliability, performance, and security under guidance from senior engineers.

Operational Excellence & Code Quality:

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Participate actively in code reviews and adopt established best practices.

Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (unit, integration, E2E).

Highlight potential improvements and help address technical debt.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

Work closely with the Head of Engineering and senior developers to plan sprints, estimate tasks, and deliver work on time.

Engage in peer learning and contribute to a knowledge-sharing team culture.

Help maintain accurate documentation as part of the SDLC.

Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to React, Node.js, and AWS.

Skills & Experience Required --

2-5 years of professional experience in full-stack development with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.

Understanding of cloud-based architectures and serverless systems.

Experience delivering and supporting production applications.

Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.

Good documentation skills for code and APIs.

Strong awareness of security best practices in application and cloud development.

Desirable --

Experience with data-intensive applications (analytics, reporting, or data pipelines).

Exposure to infrastructure as code (CloudFormation/CDK) or event-driven architectures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-55,000.00 per year
