Job Summary

Starbucks Upperkirkgate are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to engage with customers and provide excellent service will be key to ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately. Handle cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accurate records of sales. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and achieve daily goals.

Skills

Strong ability to help customers with their selections, providing recommendations when needed. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately. Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 12.35-12.65 per hour
