Our cafe is going from strength to strength, Par Garden Centre is looking for a coffee maestro, someone who is cool under pressure, with a passion for all things coffee !

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and tea but also ensuring that our customers have a delightful experience from the moment they enter our establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist customers in selecting menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Operate coffee machines and equipment safely and efficiently, performing routine maintenance as needed. Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the till effectively. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and address any inquiries or concerns promptly. Participate in food preparation tasks as required, adhering to hygiene standards.

Skills

Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic maths skills for managing transactions and handling cash accurately. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Previous experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
