Job Description

We are looking for a versatile employee to join our team at Teuchters Bar & Bunker. Experience is not essential but is preferred.

Applicants should be friendly and patient with excellent social skills. They should have a working knowledge of food and drink but full training will be given. A good knowledge of beer and whisky is a bonus.

Responsibilities include:

presenting menus, taking orders for food & drink and delivering them accurately

advising customers on the best food & drink choices and answering queries

ensuring customer satisfaction and augmenting our reputation

attending tables and complying with cleanliness standards

ensuring the bar is set up correctly and promptly by our advertised opening hours

ensuring the bar is left in a clean and orderly state at the end of a shift

general housekeeping duties under the manager/supervisor's instruction

delivering bills and accepting payments

working well with other members of the team

changing cask beer, keg beer and gas cylinders, maintaining cellar cleanliness

making teas and coffees

Requirements are:

good timekeeping

outstanding social skills

ability to build relationships with both colleagues and customers

a positive attitude towards customer service

availability to work within our operating hours (10am to 1am, 7 days) including weekends and public holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50 per hour
