We want to hire an exceptionally efficient and cheerful Bookkeeper at Little Angels.
We are a welcoming and dynamic childcare provider dedicated to providing outstanding childcare services. As we grow, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations and ensure the smooth running of our accounts.
At the same time, we're looking for a Bookkeeper who will model and champion our company's core values.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Management:
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and process accounts payable and receivable
Bank reconciliation:
Using Xero and Dext, efficiently reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Invoicing and Payments:
Oversee invoicing of parents / carers and support nursery and admin staff to follow up on overdue payments
Financial Reporting and Management accounts preparation:
Produce monthly and annual financial reports for management review
Budget Oversight:
Assist in monitoring and managing each separate setting's budget, highlight any discrepancies or areas for improvement
Payroll Processing:
Calculate and process employee wages ensuring compliance with UK payroll regulations and HMRC requirements
Expense Tracking:
Record and categorise business expenses, ensuring they align with agreed budgetary limits
Assist with ad hoc tasks from managers as required
Skills, Qualifications, Knowledge & Expertise
Strong Xero knowledge is essential
5 years or more Bookkeeping experience
AAT qualified minimum or qualified by experience
Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations and payroll processes
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
Good numerical skills and excellent communication skills to talk with team and suppliers
Be a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment, willing to share knowledge, support colleagues and be happy to work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines
Be comfortable with change and excited to learn
Problem solving
Experience posting month end and journals
Experience of Dext (desirable) or willing to learn quickly
Experience of FAMLY software (desirable) or willing to learn quickly
Experience of Google Drive (desirable) or willing to learn quickly
You will enjoy building creative new systems to solve problems
You'll be an absolute stickler for quality control
You'll ask questions to ensure the accuracy of your work
You'll have a great ability to prioritise
You're okay to admit if you're wrong and can work with your team to fix it
