Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes or providing home care services. Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support the implementation of personalised care plans in accordance with individual requirements Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure clear understanding of care needs Assist with medication administration as per training and protocols Support clients with domestic tasks such as meal preparation and light housekeeping when required Ensure the safety and comfort of residents or clients at all times by adhering to health and safety guidelines

Skills

Valid driving licence is desirable for home care roles involving travel between locations Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues Compassionate nature with strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Good interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents or clients and their families

Pay: 12.21 per hour
