Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef / Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. The Chef / Cook will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver delicious, visually appealing meals that meet our establishment's standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations Assist in menu planning and develop new culinary ideas to enhance our offerings Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction Train junior kitchen staff and oversee their adherence to safety and quality standards Manage portion control and minimise waste during food preparation

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management Previous experience in restaurant or catering services is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.34-17.46 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
