Role Overview:

As a Pet Shop Sales Assistant and warehouse operative, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting with various tasks within the store. Your main duties will include:

-Assisting customers in finding the perfect products for their pets, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

- Providing detailed information about our products, including pet food, toys, bedding, and accessories, to help customers make informed choices.

- Handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently, operating our point-of-sale system.

- Maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring all products are properly labelled.

- Assisting with inventory management, including receiving and unpacking merchandise, checking for quality, and updating stock levels.

-Picking and packing online orders for local and nationwide delivery

Requirements:

- Genuine love and passion for animals.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to provide outstanding customer service.

- Basic knowledge of different pet species, their needs, and appropriate products.

- Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting bags of pet food and carrying cages.

- Previous experience in a retail environment or pet-related field is a plus, but not required.

- Flexible with working days, we are open 6 days a week and working days may fluctuate.

-Drivers licence preferred to cover our delivery driver when needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 36 per week
