Full Time Day Nursery Practitioner

Cardiff, WLS, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Are you fun, energetic, creative, and passionate about working with children?

Do you thrive in an environment filled with imagination, outdoor adventures, and laughter? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

We're looking for a

minimum Level 3 qualified Childcare Practitioner

who is ready to jump into a world where each day is different -- from captaining pirate ships, dancing with dinosaurs, to refereeing football matches and hosting "Monkeys Got Talent."

What We're Looking For:

A happy, enthusiastic team player who loves engaging with children through play and exploration. Someone with a great sense of humour -- even if you don't always get the joke! Singing talent isn't necessary, but confidence to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is a must. Willingness to have fun, get a little messy, and be a cherished part of our children's daily lives. A big heart and the ability to make every child feel safe, special, and valued.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To provide a high-quality, safe, and stimulating learning environment for young children as part of a dedicated team under the guidance of the Nursery Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a Key Worker for a small group of children, building strong relationships with children and their families. Plan and deliver fun, educational activities tailored to individual developmental needs. Observe, record and track child development using company software. Ensure the health, safety, and emotional well-being of all children at all times. Support mealtimes by preparing and serving healthy snacks. Assist with wraparound care for local nursery and school children.

What We Offer:

Full induction and paid training provided before your start date. Staff uniform provided. Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing and support. Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities. Support to gain further qualifications (e.g. Transition into Playwork for L3 Teaching Assistants).
Requirements:

A

minimum Level 3 childcare qualification (CCLD, CCLPD, Playwork, etc.)

recognised by the Care Council for Wales or the Skills Active Qualification Framework. Level 3 Teaching Assistants can access an 8-week course to transition into Playwork. Previous experience in a childcare setting is preferred. Own transport is desirable due to the location of our settings. Candidates must provide references and complete an enhanced DBS check.

Ready to join a team where no two days are the same and your creativity is celebrated?

We'd love to hear from you -- apply today and start making a difference in children's lives from day one.
