We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the culinary staff. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Support chefs and kitchen staff during service by ensuring all necessary equipment and ingredients are readily available. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the management team. Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next day's operations.

Requirements

Previous kitchen experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant or hotel setting. A basic understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality. A willingness to learn and develop culinary skills further within a supportive environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
