Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. This position is essential for ensuring that our culinary operations run smoothly, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met. Support chefs during service by delivering ingredients and assisting with cooking tasks as needed. Ensure that all dishes and kitchenware are cleaned promptly and stored correctly. Help manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations. Assist in stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive working atmosphere in the kitchen.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with food preparation techniques is advantageous. Experience in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality settings will be considered a plus. A passion for cooking and the culinary arts is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs. Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 45 per week
