Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for food, catering, and hospitality, who are eager to develop their culinary skills. The successful candidate will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold food safety standards.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food presentation in accordance with established recipes and standards Support catering services by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes as required Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients Serve food to guests or customers in a courteous and professional manner Restock supplies and organise ingredients to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods Assist with washing up, cleaning utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen appliances after use Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a catering or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and meal preparation processes Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices within a commercial kitchen setting Experience in food preparation or kitchen assistance roles will be advantageous A proactive attitude with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
