We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our healthcare full time. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients of any age, from newborn to elderly, supporting their medical needs and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary clinical setting, contributing to the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive and caring nursing care, including implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
Monitor vital signs and observe for any changes in patient conditions, promptly reporting concerns to the medical team.
Administer medications and treatments accurately in accordance with prescribed protocols.
Support children and adults through education, reassurance, and emotional support and follow up some of them with weekly calls.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Adhere strictly to infection control procedures and health & safety standards within the clinical environment.
Help with auditing, risk assessments and anything related to CQC compliance.
Assist consultant during minor surgical procedures and, when requested, during consultations.
Keeping stock tidy, ordering consumables and vaccines when needed and keeping a detailed record of everything.
Requirements
Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Proven experience in paediatric nursing and paediatric phlebotomy.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards children and their families.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and care delivery.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary. This position is ideal for nurses passionate about paediatric healthcare who are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care in a supportive environment.
