Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic full time Sandwich Maker to join our busy food establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and delivering excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic team environment, ensuring customers receive freshly made, delicious sandwiches in a timely manner.

Successful candidate must be available to work between the hours of 8am-8pm with rotational weekends

Duties

Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in accordance with food safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including kitchen surfaces and equipment Serve customers efficiently at the counter, taking orders and providing friendly assistance Upsell additional items such as drinks or snacks to maximise sales opportunities Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed Manage time effectively to ensure orders are completed promptly during busy periods

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant environment is desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control Excellent time management skills to meet service deadlines Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance

This role will not be suitable for students as it involves day shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
