Job Description

A Subway Sandwich Artist prepares food such as sandwiches, salads, and other menu items to order, focusing on accuracy, speed, and presentation to meet customer specifications. Their responsibilities also include providing excellent customer service, taking orders, handling transactions, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring the cleanliness of the work environment, and managing inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:

Greeting customers, answering questions about the menu, and providing a cheerful and helpful experience.

Food Preparation:

Following recipes and customer instructions to prepare ingredients (washing, chopping, slicing) and assemble sandwiches accurately and efficiently.

Order Taking & Processing:

Taking in-person, 3PD and phone orders, processing sales transactions, collecting payments, and making change.

Food Safety & Sanitation:

Adhering to strict food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.

Workstation Maintenance:

Keeping the work area, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitized throughout the shift.

Inventory Management:

Checking and restocking food supplies and ensuring that there is enough product available to meet customer demand.

Teamwork:

Working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.

Essential Skills & Qualities

Customer Focused:

A strong focus on providing a positive and helpful experience for customers.

Dexterity & Speed:

The ability to assemble sandwiches quickly and neatly.

Attention to Detail:

Following instructions carefully, especially regarding customer allergies and special dietary needs.

Basic Math Skills:

For handling transactions and making change accurately.

Food Safety Knowledge:

Understanding and implementing proper food handling and sanitation practices.

Teamwork & Communication:

The ability to work effectively with others and communicate clearly.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 12.70 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
