Cardinals in the Community is excited to invite applications for a full-time role as a
Community Coach.
The position supports key Cardinals in the Community (CITC) programmes such as Soccer Camps, Inclusive Sport, Women's Football, and school-based PE delivery. The role includes planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive sessions, supporting school staff development, maintaining accurate administrative records, and engaging with local stakeholders. It also involves assisting in events, competitions, and promotional activities, while embodying and promoting the values and mission of CITC across all programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering a variety of community-based football and physical activity sessions and supporting the delivery of key CITC projects including Soccer Camps, Pay & Play, Match Day Activities, Inclusive Sport, Early Years Provision, Walking Football, Womens Football, Disability Sport and more.
Deliver high quality Physical Education (PE) and sport within schools with a focus on up-skilling teaching and support staff to provide a lasting legacy and ensure that schools are confident and comfortable in providing young people with high quality PE and school sport provision.
Delivering extra-curricular coaching sessions in school settings - these may include breakfast clubs, lesson time delivery, lunchtime clubs and after school clubs.
Ensuring that all paperwork for sessions including registers, payments, session plans and registration forms are up to date and processed correctly using appropriate systems.
Work with Head of Community to organise and attend promotional events to grow interest and uptake in Foundation sessions.
Support Head of Community to source information for high-quality case studies from all Foundation programmes.
Assisting on the delivery of school's competitions including Sports Day, District Sports and locally organised tournaments.
Attend relevant training and CPD events as and when required.
Assist with the planning and implementation of programme specific schemes of work and technical programmes.
Deliver engaging, inclusive and varied sessions to participants with a range of abilities, adapting coaching delivery style appropriately.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders including parents, teachers and leisure providers.
Support other CITC Heads of department with any duties as and when required.
To be an advocate for best practice and to promote the key messages and ethos of Cardinals in the Community.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum
FA Level 1
(UEFA C / FA Level 2 preferred).
Previous experience coaching football, particularly with children and young people.
Previous experience delivering school PE lessons (desirable).
Confidence working in diverse community settings.
