We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team in the role of Chef/Cook. Duties
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
Support cooking processes under supervision, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to standard
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace in compliance with hygiene regulations
Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure quality standards
Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly for service periods
Support serving staff by providing timely and accurate assistance during busy periods
Help with stock rotation and inventory checks to ensure freshness and minimise waste
Contribute positively to team efforts by maintaining a professional attitude and collaborative approach
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in south indian kitchen is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment will be considered a plus
Familiarity with meal preparation, kitchen equipment, and basic culinary techniques is beneficial
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are important for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
