Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves providing personalised tutoring sessions to help students achieve their academic goals, with a focus on both Functional Skills in English and Mathematics to Level 2. The Tutor will be responsible for developing tailored lesson plans, assessing student progress, and communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in Maths and English. Develop individualised lesson plans that cater to the unique learning needs of each student. Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to track progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement. Maintain accurate records of student progress. Stay updated on educational best practices and curriculum changes.

Experience

Previous experience working in an educational setting is essential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner. Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students are crucial traits for success in this role.
