Are you passionate about supporting learners to reach their full potential? ALFA, our new learning program is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Functional Skills Tutor

to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will:

Teach Maths, English & Intervention at KS3 or foundation KS4. Travel around the local area and deliver face to face teaching to our vulnerable students at home. Work with our specialist safeguarding advisors to ensure comprehensive safeguarding and personal development plans are in place

Our ideal candidate will have:

QTS/QTLS is essential A committed and passionate view of students with SEND Experience of tuition of children with SEND or SEMH needs Full UK driving license

At ALFA:

We are dedicated to providing every child with the chance to excel in their education, regardless of any challenges they may have faced in the past. Our program is specifically designed to help children who have been unable to participate in traditional schooling due to social, emotional, or mental health issues, anxiety, or other barriers they have encountered.


We work hand-in-hand with each learner and their family to design a customized learning path that is completely focused on their individual requirements. Whether it's by introducing local tutors, offering online lessons with our subject specialists, or incorporating outdoor activities at PEAK activity centres, we are dedicated to helping our learners re-engage with education in a way that best suits them.



ALFA is expanding in the Lincolnshire area and there will be further tutoring opportunities. Although the role is 0 hours, ALFA can guarantee work for a certain amount of hours/days. The school welcome to having informal meetings before applying.
