Building Safety team and play a pivotal role in securing vital funding for our building safety and remediation programmes. You will be supporting the administration and coordination of funding applications across key remediation programmes and driving cost-recovery initiatives under the Homes England Cladding Safety Scheme and beyond, and ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act


As

Funding Support Officer

, you will ensure every claim meets governance standards and Homes England criteria, maintain clear records and reports, and foster collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to Southern Housing's strategic cost recovery and compliance efforts.


You will support the end-to-end preparation, submission and monitoring of funding applications under the Homes England Cladding Safety Scheme and other programmes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Acting as a central liaison, you will streamline data collection and reporting between Building Safety, Finance, Programme Delivery teams, contractors, consultants and regulators. You will maintain comprehensive records of applications, approvals and correspondence, produce clear monthly reports for Homes England, and track allocations against project budgets. You will advise project teams on compliance and best practices and help shape funding strategies by identifying new opportunities aligned with our building safety and asset management objectives.


This role is based at our head office in

Farringdon

, with flexibility for hybrid working or placement at another main office by agreement with your manager.

What you'll need:



Professional experience in law, construction, housing, insurance, or a related field collaborating with senior stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams Strong knowledge of residential building safety and regulations. Familiarity with Homes England Cladding Safety Scheme and associated funding mechanisms. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to interpret complex funding criteria Outstanding written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-engagement abilities Proficiency in data analysis tools (Microsoft Excel, Power BI) and digital platforms for funding tracking and reporting Ability to engage positively with internal and external stakeholders
