About the Role

We're seeking an organised, enthusiastic and people-focused Fundraising and Events Assistant to help drive the success of our events and campaigns.

Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, you'll support the planning, promotion, and delivery of a wide range of fundraising initiatives -- from exciting challenge events to local community drives -- ensuring a seamless supporter experience.

This is a perfect role for someone looking to gain experience in the charity sector or build on their admin, events, or fundraising skills in a meaningful and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in organising and delivering fundraising and challenge events Support event logistics, prize sourcing, and on-the-day execution Help create and manage JustGiving pages and encourage fundraisers Maintain accurate records in our CRM system Support with social media posts, blog content, and thank-you communications Attend occasional promotional and networking events Ensure equipment and materials are well-stocked and organised Champion our organisational values in everything you do
About You

Essential:



Excellent organisational and communication skills Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office Emotional intelligence and interpersonal awareness A team player with the ability to work independently A valid driving licence and access to transport Commitment to the mission and values of the Children's Respite Trust Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check

Desirable:



Experience in a fundraising, events, or charity environment (paid or voluntary) Familiarity with CRM or fundraising databases Educated to A Level or equivalent Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team
