We are looking for a part-time (20 hours per week) Fundraising Assistant to report to and support our Brand Marketing Manager.
Centred is a progressive charity based in the Highlands that supports people through mental ill-health towards mental well-being. Our services are currently based in Easter Ross, Lochaber, Inverness and Caithness. In Inverness we also have a Recovery Centre, which provides accommodation for up to 23 service users.
The post holder will lead on a range of brand awareness and fundraising activities including leaflet and collection can distribution, organising of fundraising events, building relationships with donors, maintaining donor data and communications.

SALARY:
12.60 per hour
Job Summary:
To support the distribution of fundraising materials, including awareness posters, newsletters, fundraising leaflets, sponsorship packages and letters to donors.
To coordinate the distribution of collection cans and buckets in the community and maintain the appropriate records.
To identify and develop new fundraising activities and events in conjunction with The Brand Marketing Manager.
To engage, develop and maintain professional relationships with individual members of the local community, local companies and other community organisations to promote one off donations and regular giving.
To raise awareness of the work of Centred through identifying where free or low-cost locations for the placement of banners, posters and adverts, to get our voice heard.
To maintain appropriate records to ensure fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely acknowledgements, thank you letters, donor reports & HMRC gift aid claims.
To maintain the database of Centred donors, updating regularly and creating email newsletters on a regular basis.
To help prepare, submit and follow-up new fundraising applications and initiatives.
To assist in writing reports which inform decision making at Senior Management and Trustee levels
10. To provide support for collaborative fundraising in conjunction with other companies.
To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Brand Marketing Manager.
About you.
Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to engage at all levels
High attention to detail and strong administrative skills
Excellent verbal and written English skills
IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
A creative and proactive approach to all areas of work with a 'can do' attitude
Strong team working focus with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the demands across the whole organisation
Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends, attend out of hours meetings and travel
Experience of working in a customer service role and experience of working to targets and deadlines is desirable
Experience of fundraising and/or working for a charity in a similar position is desirable
We are looking for someone with a friendly and confident manner, who can work on their own initiative and get the job done. A driving license and right to work in the UK are essential.
