About Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust



Lady McAdden's mission is to support everyone in the Essex locality before, during and after breast cancer. We are committed to empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools to take control of their breast health.

As a small but ambitious charity, we are looking to expand our reach and impact through the development of a robust and sustainable fundraising strategy.

Role Overview



We are looking for a passionate, driven Fundraising Lead to develop and deliver all income-generating activities, with a strong focus on corporate and events-based fundraising.

This is an exciting and hands-on role that offers the opportunity to shape and grow Lady McAdden's fundraising programme across multiple streams -- including events, individual giving, community fundraising, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnerships.

You will take ownership of planning and delivering a range of creative and impactful fundraising events, while also building sustainable income across other key fundraising areas.

Key Responsibilities



Fundraising Strategy & Delivery



Develop and implement a multi-channel fundraising strategy that supports the charity's short- and long-term goals. To raise between 200,000-300,000 in the first year, to increase this amount each year after. To grow the database of supporters, to create a wider reach. Identify new opportunities to diversify and grow income from various fundraising streams including events, individual giving, community, corporate, trusts and foundations, and legacy giving. Lead on fundraising planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Events



Plan, manage and deliver a calendar of fundraising events -- including signature events such as the Ladies Ascot Day, the Ladies Lunches and our Ball.

Manage logistics, promotion, supporter engagement and post-event evaluation. Develop toolkits and resources to support community-led fundraising events. Build relationships with local businesses and sponsors to support events through gifts in kind or sponsorship.

Individual Giving & Community Engagement



Develop and manage campaigns to grow income from individual donors, including regular and one-off giving. Create engaging supporter journeys and stewardship plans to improve donor retention. Work with the marketing team to deliver impactful fundraising communications and appeals across digital, print, and social media.

Corporate & Trusts



Research and approach local businesses for ambassador opportunities. Prepare compelling funding proposals for trusts and foundations, in collaboration with the CEO.

Person Specification



Essential Skills & Experience



Demonstrable experience in fundraising across multiple streams, especially in planning and delivering successful fundraising events. Strong project management skills, able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to inspire supporters. Proactive and results-driven with a track record of meeting income targets. Confident in working independently and using initiative in a small team environment. Strong writing and storytelling skills, particularly for donor communications and funding proposals. Competent in using CRM systems and digital fundraising platforms.

Desirable



Experience working within a small charity or healthcare-related organisation. Knowledge of donor stewardship and supporter engagement best practices. Experience securing sponsorships or developing corporate partnerships.

Please note the wage stated is the pro rata wage for 4 days- Full time equivalent is 32,000-36,000 dependent on experience.
