Role Overview



We are looking for a proactive and passionate

Fundraising Officer

to help drive forward our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. You will support the delivery of key campaigns--particularly charity meal events and food-focused appeals--while helping build relationships with donors, partners, and communities.

This is a vital role in helping us grow income, reach more people in need, and raise awareness of our mission to end hunger.

Key Responsibilities



Fundraising Campaigns & Events



Coordinate and deliver charity meal events and seasonal campaigns (e.g. Ramadan Iftars, Qurbani, Winter Meals). Support the development and execution of fundraising strategies to achieve income targets. Contribute to the planning of digital and community-based fundraising initiatives. Support event logistics, ensuring activities are run efficiently and in line with our brand and values.

Donor Engagement & Stewardship



Build and maintain relationships with donors, community leaders, and local businesses. Help create compelling fundraising appeals, email campaigns, and thank-you communications. Maintain a high standard of donor care to encourage repeat giving and long-term support.

Volunteer & Community Coordination



Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for events, food packing, and distribution. Work closely with community organisers to support local fundraising initiatives. Ensure volunteers are well-supported and recognised for their contributions. Manage International deployments with continuous delivery trips throughout the year.

Reporting & Administration



Track and report on campaign performance, income, and donor engagement. Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with fundraising regulations and data protection laws. Contribute to monthly updates and reports for senior leadership.

UK Programmes



In the UK, Charity Meals runs a variety of impactful programmes to support vulnerable individuals and communities:

Homeless Meal Services:

Weekly hot meals served in major UK cities to support those experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Community Events:

Charity dinners, open kitchens, and seasonal food drives (Ramadan, Winter Appeal, Eid food parcels).

Food Distribution:

Regular delivery of food parcels to low-income families, refugees, and asylum seekers through a trusted network of volunteers and local partners.

Volunteer Engagement:

Mobilising local volunteers to give back through food preparation, packaging, and distribution.

What We're Looking For



2-3 years of experience in fundraising, community outreach, or charity event coordination. Experience organising charity dinners, food drives, or community events is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident in working with diverse audiences. Strong organisational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. A passion for social justice, humanitarian work, and feeding those in need.

A good understanding of Islamic giving (Zakat, Sadaqah, Qurbani) is essential.

Flexible and adaptable; willing to travel occasionally for UK events and field visits.

Pay: 28,315.25-42,391.16 per year
