We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Fundraiser to join our organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in advancing our mission by engaging with the community, cultivating relationships, and securing vital funding. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong interpersonal skills and a background in marketing, relationship management, and fundraising to make a meaningful impact. The role involves working closely with our small staff team to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies. The role will also include providing some support to local VCSE organisations on fundraising skills - building the capacity of organisations based in Hammersmith & Fulham to survive and thrive.
The role is currently set for 12 months, but extendable based on the success of the postholder in securing ongoing funds for the role.
PRP will be available to the successful candidate, based on their achievements in securing funds whilst in the role.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute innovative fundraising strategies to meet organisational goals.
Prepare compelling proposals, reports, and presentations for prospective donors and stakeholders.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners through personalised engagement strategies.
Organise and participate in community outreach events to raise awareness and generate support for organisational initiatives.
Collaborate with colleagues to create promotional materials that effectively communicate organisational needs and successes.
Provide excellent customer service to supporters, ensuring positive experiences that foster ongoing commitment.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fundraising trends, public relations strategies, and best practices within the sector.
Requirements
Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or relationship management within a non-profit or charitable organisation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Experience in public relations and community engagement is highly desirable.
A proactive attitude with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
