Root & Branch is an independent charity located on the Oxfordshire/Wiltshire border in The Vale of the White Horse, providing activities that promote recovery for people who experience mental health difficulties.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fundraiser to join our small team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving our fundraising initiatives, building relationships with donors, and promoting our mission. This position requires a blend of marketing skills, relationship management, and an understanding of fundraising strategies to effectively engage with potential supporters.
The Fundraiser is a crucial role for Root & Branch, helping us to drive fundraising and support our mission: 'To help adults in their recovery towards mental and emotional well-being'.
We are looking for someone who can identify new sources of finance and develop long-term relationships with existing and new funders; and with the ability to engage them meaningfully with out work.
Flexibility and consensus are two important characteristics, along with enthusiasm, determination and a willingness to contribute to the overall tranquillity of Root & Branch.

Duties
Set and achieve fundraising targets in consultation with the Centre Manager.
Design and develop fundraising approaches to individual and organisational prospects.
Secure targeted funding through donations and grants to enable and progress the work of Root & Branch.
Develop a methodology to research, approach and gain corporate sponsorships, particularly with medium and large organisations within the local area.
Design and shape fundraising events and community initiatives, thereby assisting in raising both funding, and the profile of the charity.
Requirements
Familiarity with effecting fundraising techniques in a charity context.
Experience in planning and delivering events and campaigns.
Working collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders including donors, team members, service users and volunteers.
A strong track-record of meeting targets, writing proposals/reports, delivering on projects and effective relationship building.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present a positive image of Root & Branch to external organisations.
Computer literacy. Ability to use Microsoft office suite, cloud-based storage systems and video conferencing systems.
An empathetic and non-judgemental attitude to our service users and an understanding of their difficulties in entering/returning to society, employment/education and resuming their lives.

Pay: 10,400.00-12,800.00 per year
