We are expanding and now seeking a Fundraising Officer to help strengthen and grow our funding streams.
The Role
You will support the organisation by researching, preparing, and submitting funding applications that help maintain and expand our services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Researching suitable grants from funders, councils, and foundations
Drafting and submitting compelling, accurate applications
Tracking application deadlines, requirements, and outcomes
Working closely with the Director for supporting information
Maintaining a simple grants pipeline and progress log
This role suits someone who enjoys writing, values detail, and wants their work to directly support women and children in vulnerable situations.
What We're Looking For
We want a caring, organised individual with strong writing skills and a genuine interest in supporting domestic abuse survivors.
Someone who can manage deadlines, communicate clearly, and stay consistent.
Experience & Background (Highly Preferred)
We are looking for someone with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Grant writing or bid writing
Charity or non-profit fundraising
Supported housing or domestic abuse services
Social housing, community work, or safeguarding settings
Preparing reports, proposals, or structured written work
We will also consider applicants with strong transferable skills from:
Administrative roles involving writing and deadlines
Communications, academic writing, or research work
Public sector or education roles with reporting responsibilities
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or understanding domestic abuse/housing pathways is highly preferred.
Employment Structure (Temp-to-Perm)
First 3 Months:
Temporary contract
Hourly pay
16-37.5 hours per week
Ensures mutual fit, compliance, and safeguarding alignment
After 3 Months:
Permanent PAYE role for suitable candidates
Opportunity to grow into senior funding responsibilities
Compensation
12.00 - 14.00 per hour
16-37.5 hours per week
Hybrid working (remote with occasional office days)
